  • In I Kings 3, God appeared to Solomon in a dream and said, “Ask for whatever you want me to give to you.” What a statement! Solomon was overwhelmed and confessed that he didn’t really know how to be an awesome king like his father, King David. “I don’t know the ropes, hardly know the ins and outs of this job… So here’s what I want,” Solomon said. “Give me a God-listening heart so I can lead your people well.”

At the University of Dreams, it is our desire to LEAD WELL. The world of education can be overwhelming, and the task of meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students can seem like too much to handle. It’s a difficult task to shape and mold the minds of young people… and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

After 18 years of teaching and leading in public schools, I’ve learned that anything can change for the better when you listen to God and work hard. I’ve also learned that yesterday’s wins won’t win today’s game. A day by day commitment to do our absolute best will be the key to our success. I’m committed. Are you?

When Solomon asked for a God-listening heart, God’s reply was cool. “There’s never been one like you before; and there’ll be no one after.” On top of all of that, God gave him wealth, glory and a long life. Solomon woke up and said “WHAT A DREAM!” As we take this inspirational, educational journey together, I hope you’ll be able to say the same thing. What a University!... of DREAMS!
