"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” As a successful elementary classroom educator and principal in the past, Sis. Sherrye Vaden found herself turning to this quote often. At the University of Dreams at IBOC, she hopes to help birth, nurture, and mature every scholar and faculty member’s aspirations and goals.

Humbly serving as the Director of Education for IBOC & U of D, Sis. Vaden earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary academics and her Master of Education degree in educational leadership, both from Dallas Baptist University. She channels the endurance God gives her to work diligently, serve joyfully, behave professionally, and honor God spiritually. This is her dream realized. She is focused and intent on helping to carry out the vision of IBOC Church and U of D school system under the dynamic leadership of Pastor Rickie G. Rush.

Currently pursuing her Doctorate of Education in educational leadership at Texas A&M Commerce, she welcomes all support and input to continue to fulfill each academic standard and goal set for the school.

Earning educator certifications for early childhood education, elementary reading, English as a second language supplemental, Sis. Vaden utilizes a hands-on, constructivist approach to learning. She hopes to make a difference every single day as she helps to prepare 21st century learners with a rich, memorable academic learning experience.
